Evan Spencer has demanded the suspension of Musk’s lawyers from the case. He claimed that they have been engaging in a ruthless campaign of harassment against him . According to Spencer the defendants are utilizing their unlimited financial resources to support these liable tactics .
Controversy Surrounding a Letter and Alleged Misconduct
The controversy is centered around a letter written by Elon Musk’s lawyer Alex Spiro according to the reports made by the New York Post on June 15. In the letter Spiro demanded the withdrawal of a revised complaint alleging that Musk secretly owned wallets that were involved in manipulating the price of Dogecoin. Musk’s legal team strongly denied these accusations .
Accusations and Counterarguments
Elon Musks legal team responded in the next two days. The team described Evan Spencer’s request as an insult and denied any disclosure to the New York Post . They also argued that even if the accusations were true they would not violate ethics.
Spencer in his response claimed that he had no connection to the Post reporter and asserted that the leaked letter could only have come from Musk’s team or an vehicle acting in their behalf . He also referenced a tweet from Musk about establishing a hardcore lawsuit department at Tesla.
Accusations of other attacks and defamation threats directing Spencer were mentioned. However concrete evidence supporting these claims has not yet been provided . So it primarily relies on the Post article. At present Musk’s team has yet to respond to these latest accusations.
